Anything “Ohio Built” will be featured at the 62nd annual Tuscarawas Valley Pioneer Power Association summer steam show July 31-Aug. 2. This summer’s show will be the first held at the club’s grounds, 8770 Day Ave., Navarre.
Admission is $7 per person, with children 12 and younger admitted free. TVPPA memberships may be purchased during the show for $12 each and include admission each day. A variety of food vendors will be on the grounds.
As the nation pauses to reflect on the country’s 250th birthday, it is difficult to ignore Ohio’s many contributions to agriculture. Enormous steam traction engines were built by companies including Russell in Massillon, Baker in Swanton and Huber in Marion. Tractors such as Silver King, Speedex, Centaur and Leader also were built in Ohio.
