Rethinking Household Hazardous Waste with ReWorks

ReWorks seasonal Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Thursdays are ongoing through the end of September. Stop by ReWorks’ newly constructed Collection Center located at 1201 Graham Road, Bldg. 1, in Stow, between 2-7 p.m. any Thursday before the end of September to manage your household hazardous waste materials. Open to Summit County residents to manage materials generated from their Summit County homes.

August is a great time for residents to utilize ReWorks HHW Thursday collections. ReWorks tends to have lower volumes of residents visiting mid-season, which makes it a great choice for residents looking to reduce the odds of arriving at the same time as others. Visitor counts tend to track upward in September, especially as the season comes to a close.

Upon arriving at 1201 Graham Road follow posted signage to navigate to the unloading area. At the Collection Center you will be surveyed by ReWorks staff to find out what Summit County community you are from and answer any questions you may have. Technicians from the licensed hazardous waste contractor will review what you brought. Materials assessed to meet the definition of HHW will be unloaded from your vehicle and anything not meeting the definition of what can be managed through the HHW Collection will not be accepted. ReWorks HHW Collections are for Summit County residents only. Materials generated by businesses, faith organizations, non-profits or schools will not be accepted…
