BEN PATTERSON SPEAKS – 1997 Alliance High School graduate Ben Patterson will speak at 7 p.m. Aug. 27 on the Brush Hall stage at the Giese Center for the Performing Arts at University of Mount Union. Patterson will present “Documenting the Journey: Stories, Cuts, Conversations and Coming Attractions.” Patterson is a documentary director who has worked around the world on subject of international interest. The free Alliance Goes to the Movies event, sponsored by Alliance Historical Society, is part of the city’s America 250 festivities and is made possible by grants from Visit Canton/ArtsinStark and Ohio Goes to the Movies. A question-and-answer session will follow Patterson’s presentation.
