BARBERTON — Barberton Tree Service recently announced Adrianne Tanner has received the True Professionals of Arboriculture Award from the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA). According to ISA, it is imperative that members be skilled in communicating with and reaching out to the greater public to educate about the environmental health of local communities, neighborhoods and urban forests. ISA aims to recognize arborists that go above and beyond and who show a high aptitude in any specialized area that fosters professionalism in arboriculture.
In her nomination, Barberton Tree Service President Lisa Devenport characterized Tanner as “the embodiment of a true professional in arboriculture.”
Devenport noted Tanner’s passion for trees began in childhood through exploring wooded city parks, county metro parks and the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. During high school, Tanner enrolled in a two-year urban forestry, landscaping and horticulture program to complement her planned college studies in botany.
