AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) – Summit County Prosecutor Elliot Kolkovich announced Tuesday that a Cuyahoga Falls man was sentenced to life in prison for raping and sexually abusing a 5-year-old child in his care.
Dominic Galloway, 37, of Cuyahoga Falls, received a life sentence, but will be eligible for parole in 31 to 35 years.
After further investigation, a press release from the prosecutor’s office says authorities found numerous explicit images of children on several electronic devices belonging to Galloway.
A grand jury found Galloway guilty of the following:
- Three counts of rape of a child under 13 years of age
- Six counts of pandering sexually-oriented matter involving a minor or impaired person
- Five counts of illegal use of minor or impaired person in nudity-oriented material or performance
- Four counts of gross sexual imposition of a child under 13-years of age
- Eight counts of pandering sexually-oriented matter involving a minor or impaired person
Galloway has been designated as a Tier III sex offender, which requires him to register every 90 days with the local sheriff for the rest of his life if released from prison, the release said…
