The U.S. is facing a severe shortage of mental health providers.
That’s one reason researchers at Kent State University’s Brain Health Research Institute are exploring ways to provide care outside a clinical setting — including through the growing field of precision psychiatry, where smartphones and other devices are used to tailor treatments to the individual.
