Cause of explosive Canton house fire being investigated

CANTON, Ohio (WJW) — Frantic calls to 9-1-1 from a Northeast Canton neighborhood after an explosion rocked the neighborhood Tuesday night.

Neighbors say the front of a home in the 21 hundred block of Bollinger Avenue northeast exploded, severely burning a 63-year-old woman who lived in the house.

Canton Fire says neighbors sprang into action to pull the victim to safety.

“There were two bystanders who assisted her off the front porch a neighbor stated that she was blown out of the house and that she as about ten feet away from the front door is where they found her and dragged her out on the street until fire arrived.” Division Chief Steve Henderson said…
