STOW, Ohio — Stow City Council approved new zoning rules for data centers that establish standards for water use, energy consumption, air emissions and noise before any such projects are proposed within the city.
The legislation, Ordinance 2026-118, adds data centers as a conditional use in Stow’s industrial district and creates a framework for reviewing future proposals. City officials said the regulations are intended to address potential environmental and infrastructure impacts before development occurs.
