5 sentenced for running “large-scale drug operation” between California, Ohio

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – Three Ohio men and two California men were sentenced to federal prison for running a “large-scale drug operation” between California and Ohio.

According to court documents, this was ongoing between February 2023 and April 2024 and the drugs included methamphetamine, cocaine, and other controlled substances.

Federal officials said Genaro Villa, 39, of San Diego, California, supplied drugs to Terrance Gainer, 29, of Akron, Darquan Dixon, 27, of Akron, Anthony Clark, 31, of Akron, and Allura Ward, 25, of Mansfield.

Najiyah Martin, 47, of Los Angeles, California, made kilogram-quantity drug deals with Villa, Clark, and Gainer, said federal officials.

The drugs were either mailed from locations in Los Angeles and San Diego or co-conspirators smuggled the drugs in suitcases on commercial flights and then drove to an apartment Gainer had in Columbus for the drug shipments…
