AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) – The Akron Zoo is celebrating the birth of its very first white-faced saki monkey.
The baby was born on September 18 to his mother, Clementine, the zoo shared.
This is the third baby for Clementine and the zoo’s male saki, Toumi, but the first at the Akron Zoo.
The couple’s 1-year-old daughter Ripley also lives at the Akron Zoo and remains with the family, according to the release.
The zoo said that the new baby is doing well, and its sex is unknown at this time…
