BATH TOWNSHIP, Ohio — Bath Township voters will decide in November whether to increase the property tax levy that pays for road and bridge work.
The measure would renew the township’s existing 2-mill road levy and increase it by 1.4 mills, for a total of 3.4 mills. The levy is expected to generate about $2.3 million a year for the township’s streets, roads and bridges infrastructure.
The proposed levy would cost an estimated $94 a year for every $100,000 of a property’s market value, according to the Summit County fiscal officer. It would run for five years, beginning in 2027, with the first taxes due in 2028…
