CANTON, Ohio (WOIO)— A Lisbon woman is facing a felony charge after police say her 4-year-old son was found alone in an apartment in “deplorable conditions,” near a glass pipe commonly used to smoke illegal narcotics.
Lillian Antoinette Simms, 25, was arraigned Thursday in Canton Municipal Court on one count of endangering children, a third-degree felony, according to a criminal complaint filed by the Canton Police Department.
According to the complaint, Simms had probable reason to know illegal drug use was happening in the apartment because of its condition and “blatant drug use,” but still chose to leave her son there.
