Akron City Council has decided to take some time to consider a proposal for changing a residential zoning requirement intended to make it easier to build new housing.
Councilmember Donnie Kammer, chair of the planning and development committee, said Monday that the committee would like to take a week or two to “digest” the proposal.
“This is a big step forward potentially for the city,” he said. “We want to make sure we’re moving in the right direction.”…
