End to E-Checks could be coming to Northeast Ohio

(WJW) — The end to E-Checks could soon be coming to Northeast Ohio.

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced on Tuesday that he has directed Ohio EPA to begin the process of ending the vehicle emissions testing program, which is currently active in seven local counties, including Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage, and Summit.

According to a media release, the move to end E-Checks comes after the U.S. EPA redesignated the region as meeting the federal ozone standard in June.
