Man who fired at fugitive task force killed during officer-involved shooting

A man who fired at Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force members was killed during an officer-involved incident in Akron, police said.

Akron Lt. Michael Murphy told News 5’s Bob Jones that it happened just after 8:30 a.m. on Brown Street near Tyner Street.

According to Murphy, task force members were trying to serve a felony warrant for vandalism for 34-year-old Johnathan Moore. Police said he had also been previously charged with burglary, assault, strangulation, gross sexual imposition and attempted rape…
