The time is now to help slow the spread in Akron of the spotted lanternfly, an invasive insect species that can cause irreversible damage to native crops, plants and trees.
Currently, SLF are laying their eggs in Akron, leaving behind small grey, tan or brown masses about an inch long that are protected by a waxy coating.
