A 46-year-old Canton-area man was taken into custody early Friday near Bolivar Dam.
A release from the Tuscarawas Sheriff’s Office says the search began after a Lawrence Township resident reported the man knocking on his door, and a second caller told dispatch she had dropped him off at a Wilkshire Hills gas station, and that he had been in a crisis, possibly under the influence of a drug, and potentially suicidal.
While searching the area, deputies heard multiple gunshots and believed at least some rounds were fired in their direction, prompting assistance from the Ohio State Highway Patrol and the sheriff’s drone team…
