Bond set for Warren City police officer jailed on rape, burglary charges
Police took custody of Orison Cain, 23, from the Summit County Jail last Wednesday. According to a police report, Cain had warrants for his arrest out of Austintown from an incident on August 28.
The report states that a woman accused Cain, her ex-boyfriend, of forcing his way into her apartment and choking her. Police noted in their report that the woman had markings on her neck and arms.
The woman said Cain threatened to kill her and then proceeded to stay overnight at the apartment, saying that she felt as if she was held hostage. She said he did not leave until her family member arrived and said he had hit her in the head with his phone and choked her again “to keep her quiet,” the report stated.
Cain is charged with strangulation, burglary, assault and aggravated menacing. He pleaded not guilty Monday and was ordered to have no contact with his accuser, according to court records.
