Akron man gets 18 months in prison on weapons charge

Jaquan Isom, 33, of Akron, was given an 18-month prison sentence on a conviction of a third-degree having weapons while under disability charge. The case involved an April 7, 2022, traffic stop in Brookfield where a handgun was found in Isom’s vehicle. Judge Logan stated the defendant was not eligible for probation because of six prior felonies. Because of his record, Isom was not allowed to be carrying firearms.
