Man arrested on drug charges after overdose death

AKRON, Ohio (WJW) – A man has been arrested on drug charges after an overdose death happened in Summit County in January.

According to a press release from the Summit County Sheriff’s Office , deputies responded to a fatal drug overdose on Jan. 16.

On Feb. 1, The sheriff’s SWAT team and detectives executed a search warrant at a home in Springfield Township in connection to the fatal overdose on Jan. 16.

James Frymyer, 44, was arrested and charged with aggravated possession of drugs, possession of drugs, tampering with evidence and willful fleeing, according to the release.

Frymyer was taken to the Summit County Jail. Additional charges are pending, according to the release.
