SUMMIT COUNTY, Ohio (WJW) – Summit Metro Parks is warning people to stay out of the water at Furnace Run Metro Park.
Rock Creek Trail was closed on January 26 following a diesel spill runoff into Rock Creek.
Rangers investigating after Summit County bat caves vandalized
Summit Metro Parks says people and pets should continue to stay out of the water.
They say remediation work is underway.
The Ohio EPA is investigating the cause of the diesel spill.
According to the initial alert from Summit Metro Parks, Brushwood Lake is unaffected and Old Mill Trail remains open.
No word on how long the remediation work will be underway.
