One struck by car, one shot in Parma Heights Thursday night

Parma Heights Police are investigating a shooting that occurred on Pearl Road Thursday night.

Around 11 p.m., there was an incident involving multiple people in the parking lot of the Twin Lakes office building.

Parma Heights Police confirmed one person was shot, and another was struck by a vehicle, police said.

Both were transported to MetroHealth, and one was released Friday morning, police said. The other was still receiving treatment Friday morning.

A neighbor said someone was doing donuts in a parking lot when a person was hit by the car and got pinned underneath.

He said after that person got hit, people began shooting at the car and the driver.

News 5’s overnight photographer saw dozens of shell casings on the ground and bullet holes all over a car.

Several homes were hit by gunfire in the exchange, including one house a couple of hundred yards away from the Twin Lakes parking lot.

“If it had been up a few more inches, it would’ve gone through the window,” said James Gilronan.
