A new restaurant recently celebrated its grand opening in Garfield Heights.
On February 9, the new restaurant Flava Catering – which is located in Garfield Heights at 12540 Rockside Rd in the shopping mall Garfield Commons – celebrated its grand opening, according to this social media post from the city’s mayor Matt Burke, who attended the restaurant’s ribbon-cutting ceremony. Flava Catering offers southern comfort cuisine.
The new restaurant’s menu includes appetizers like fried green tomatoes, soul rolls (which are filled with greens, mac & cheese, yams, and chicken), steak Philly rolls (which have onions, bell peppers, and provolone; the restaurant also offers a version with chicken instead of steak), Cajun chicken rolls (which are filled with cream cheese, chicken, Cajun seasonings, and chives), and fried salmon bites. Flava also serves some salads. Check out the spinach salad, which is prepared with spinach, mandarin oranges, red onions, candied pecans, feta, and poppy seed dressing.
