A chance for two rounds of severe storms Tuesday

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The Live Doppler 15 Fury Storm Team is watching out for two potential rounds of strong to severe thunderstorms on Tuesday. Damaging winds is our main concern. Click the link below for more detailed forecast information.

Comfy evening, storm chance Tuesday

The first chance comes in the morning from around 6 AM to noon. We have medium confidence in these storms developing and being severe. A second chance looks to come during the evening into the overnight hours. However, the confidence in this round developing and occurring is low.

Here is when we could see two rounds of severe weather on Tuesday.

Focusing on the first round, we expect a line of storms to get going off to our northwest tonight. It is expected to sustain itself into our area, but the strength of the storms as they enter our area is still uncertain. Our environment may be a little less favorable, keeping storms below severe limits.

Confidence is higher in the morning round of storms.

Then our second round confidence is quite low, as storms may develop again too far south or not at all, if the atmosphere is unable to recover completely after the morning thunderstorms. Still though, these storms could pack quite a punch if they develop and move through northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio.
