Olmsted Falls High School graduate becomes Parma Heights’ second female officer

PARMA HEIGHTS, Ohio — New police recruit Katelyn Romanowski was recently sworn in as the city’s second female officer with the other being Police Chief Tanya Czack. “It’s very fulfilling to me to know that I have somebody — at least one female — who is going to then be a part of this new generation of officers because that mix of male-female and diversity is so important,” said Czack, who joined the city as a dispatcher in 1990 before becoming a police officer in 1999.
