Wayne County Performing Arts Council presents Marvel Double Feature in October

The Wayne County Performing Arts Council will present WaCPAC’s Marvel Double Feature in October, which is two one-act plays based on Marvel Comics.

Show times and dates are 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 11 and 12 and Oct. 18 and 19; and 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20. Shows will be held at the Wayne Center for the Arts, 237 S. Walnut St., Wooster.

Tickets prices are $20 for adults ages 18 and over and $15 for ages under 18. For more information and to buy tickets visit wacpac.org .

“The Mirror of Most Value: A Ms. Marvel Play” explores Kamala Khan’s experience as Jersey City’s youngest superhero. A writer at heart, Kamala becomes obsessed with writing her own fan-fiction in attempt to raise her secret alter ego’s profile. When her grades and relationships with friends and family start to deteriorate, she realizes embracing herself, with all her faults and imperfections, is the best way to build relationships, both with and without the mask.

“In Hammered: A Thor and Loki Play,” Thor Odinson, near the end of his life, reminisces over his and his brother’s younger days as teens in Asgard, each of them fighting for superiority and their parent’s favor. Even through all the endless pranks and fighting for these princes Asgardian, neither mischief nor thunder will ever rend asunder the bond that will last millennia. Together they are the mighty Thor and Loki.
