Swiss steak dinner Saturday
BEACH CITY – Beach City American Legion Hall Post 549, 125 Third Ave. NE, is having a Swiss steak dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. (or when the food runs out) Saturday. Drive-thru or carryout only. Watch for signs for where to enter. The meal includes three-bean salad, applesauce, mashed potatoes with homemade gravy, corn, bread and dessert for $12.
Massillon and McKinley face off in annual food fight
CANTON − Food Fight, The annual food drive competition between longtime rivals Massillon Tigers and McKinley Bulldogs, is under way. The two schools ask their fans to join the fight against hunger by donating non-perishable food and monetary contributions as the rivals compete for bragging rights and a traveling trophy. All donations will benefit Stark County Hunger Task Force and its network of 37 food pantries and Backpack for Kids program in Stark County.
