CLEVELAND (WJW) – The FOX 8 I-Team has uncovered a criminal investigation into the Cuyahoga County Public Defender’s Office.
This comes after a whistleblower report with claims of workers breaking the rules and maybe even breaking the law. So, we investigated what this means for justice and your tax dollars.
Walk into Cuyahoga County court and it won’t take long before you see a judge appointing the county public defender to represent another suspect facing charges.
Now, the I-Team has confirmed the public defender’s office is under investigation as a result of a 47-page document.

We found that report was sent to county and state agencies by private investigator Chris Giannini, who leads International Investigations, Consultants and Training, Inc.
The I-Team asked why he’d take this action.
“Because it’s not just one person, one incident. It’s numerous people,” he said. ” The office is out of control. You’ve got people spending, wasting government money.”
