Ohio Turnpike toll rates to increase Jan. 1

(WKBN) — Toll rates for the Ohio Turnpike will increase beginning Jan. 1, according to the Ohio Turnpike.

The increases are as follows:

For passenger vehicles (Class 1)

  • E-ZPass rate: $0.071/mile (up from $0.065/mile in 2024)
  • Cash/credit rate: $0.104/mile (up from $0.096/mile in 2024)

For commercial vehicles (Class 5)

  • E-ZPass rate: $0.220/per (up from $0.204 in 2024)
  • Cash/credit rate: $0.276/mile (up from $0.256 in 2024)

According to the Turnpike, the rates were authorized by the Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission to meet operating, debt service and capital improvement costs. The commission uses only toll revenue to maintain infrastructure, no tax dollars.
