Ravenna man suffers minor injuries after vehicle rolls over in Streetsboro Tuesday afternoon

A Ravenna man suffered reported minor injuries after he lost control of his vehicle and it flipped over while he was attempting to turn at the routes 43 and 14 intersection in Streetsboro Tuesday afternoon, said Police Lt. Rich Polivka.

Polivka said the crash was reported at 1 p.m. The 28-year-old man had been southbound on Route 43 when he made a left turn onto Route 14, lost control, and went off the road, rolled over an unknown number of times when his vehicle went over the guy wires of a utility pole and rolled down an embankment, said Polivka. He said it appears the man was rushing to try and make the turn while he had the green light.

EMS took the man to UH Portage Medical Center for treatment of his injuries. He was cited with reckless operation.

The eastbound right lane on Route 14 was closed for a time for emergency vehicles and the scene was cleared at 1:41 p.m.., said Polivka.
