NORTH CANTON ‒ Police have released additional information about the armed robbery at the Dollar Tree on Friday night .
In a media release posted Tuesday on Facebook , they said the incident occurred at approximately 8:55 p.m. in the store at 1605 N. Main St. Police originally gave the time as 10:10 p.m.
The robber is described as a white man, between 5-foot-9 and 5-foot-11, and weighing approximately 250 pounds. He wore a black hooded sweatshirt, black mask, gray sweatpants and tennis shoes.
Police said they were told that the robber brandished a gun and compelled the manager to empty the contents of the cash register.
After getting the money, the individual fled through the wooded area behind the business.
