Families at Sebring elementary receive baskets of goods before Christmas break

SEBRING, Ohio (WKBN) — Some families at Sebring’s BL Miller Elementary School benefited from a collection to help provide household needs and gifts for Christmas.

The collection started over 30 years ago when a teacher saw a need to help others. The first year it helped eight families; this year it was 42.

Families received a laundry basket of items that students and staff collected including laundry detergent and cleaning items. There’s also food, hats and gloves even Christmas gifts.

Families received these baskets on Friday before students went on winter break.
