Copley Township trustees approve dental work for K-9 officer

COPLEY – Copley Police Chief Michael Mier Dec. 16 updated the Copley Board of Trustees on recent health issues with the department’s 6-year-old K-9 officer, Chip. Mier said the department reached out to several area veterinary clinics when K-9 handler Kenny Porter reported Chip was experiencing pain during bite training. Mier said cost estimates for a root canal and replacing Chip’s teeth with titanium implants ranged from $7,840 to $8,635.
