Bomb threat leads to evacuation of Ohio Turnpike plaza

FREEDOM TWP., Ohio (WKBN) – An Ohio Turnpike service plaza just over the Mahoning County line in Portage County was evacuated for a few hours Thursday morning.

A bomb threat was called in at the Portage Service Plaza, according to Portage County Hiram Post.

The Portage Service Plaza has since reopened.

The plaza closed around 12:20 a.m. A K-9 searched the building and found nothing. The service plaza opened back up just after 3 a.m.
