MEDINA — Medina County Senior and Adult Services is looking for volunteers to offer companionship, transportation or do small household tasks for local seniors.
Joanne Meincke is the organization’s volunteer coordinator. She said there have been multiple requests for a companion from Medina County’s seniors over the past few weeks.
“Volunteers just go and spend time with them,” she said. “One person requested, saying, ‘My dad likes to play cards. Maybe you have somebody that could come over and play cards with him.’ It’s just a visit, and sometimes it could even be a telephone visit.”…
