AKRON, Ohio — Several months after an Akron teenager was shot and killed by police on Thanksgiving night, his family and the community gathered Tuesday to commemorate what would have been his 16th birthday.
A balloon release was held in honor of Jazmir Tucker, whose death is the latest in a series of high-profile police-involved shootings in Akron. Dozens of people marched through downtown, chanting familiar phrases from past demonstrations.
