Ohio company recalling 15,000 cases of crackers sold at Walmart, Giant Eagle. See the list

An Ohio company is recalling 15,000 cases of oyster crackers over possible contamination by pieces of metal.

Shearer’s Foods of Massillon issued a voluntary recall for the crackers sold under store labels at Walmart, Giant Eagle and more in February for the possible presence of foreign objects, in this case stainless steel wire.

On March 11, the Food and Drug Administration classified the recall as Class II, meaning use of the product may cause temporary or “medically reversible adverse health consequences.”…
