Marshals arrest driver who shot at Akron Police officers after traffic stop

SUMMIT COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) – U.S. Marshals arrested the suspect who allegedly opened fire at Akron police Tuesday and who has been evading authorities since.

According to a release from Akron Police, Jon Tae Von Angelo Nelson, 30, was arrested without incident Wednesday afternoon by the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force after multiple agencies worked to locate him.
