SUMMIT COUNTY, Ohio — Police confirm two arrests have been made in connection with a fatal shooting at a Summit County Halloween party this past October.
Springfield Township Police Chief Jack Simone says two Canton residents, 24-year-old Christian Ruben Diaz-Sauceda and 23-year-old Terrance Williams, were both captured within the last three days. Williams is alleged to have been the gunman and faces charges of first-degree murder and second-degree assault, while Diaz-Sauceda is accused of complicity to commit second-degree assault.
The shooting took place on Oct. 27, 2024, at a home on Canton Road just after midnight. During the party, authorities say 39-year-old Akron native Brian Cofer was shot and killed, while a second victim suffered serious injuries due to “an apparent physical assault.”…
