CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio — Jayce Hein will present a homecoming concert 7 p.m. Saturday, April 12 with storytelling and acoustic country music at Schoolyard Studio, 14510 N. Cheshire St. in Burton. Included in the concert is Galen Griffin, a colleague and fellow Nashville-based singer/songwriter known for writing Luke Bryan’s “Country Man” and Clay Walker’s “She Won’t Be Lonely Long.”
Hein and Griffin will share the stories behind their songs written for recording artists including Jason Aldean, Joe Diffie, Brantley Gilbert, Gretchen Wilson, along with Bryan and Walker. Hein is an alumnus of Cardinal High School, as is Elizabeth Noreika of Fox 8 who was tapped to emcee the event. Another local singer/songwriter, Justin Geraci of Chagrin Falls, will open the concert. Hein hopes to inspire and empower students from his hometown to pursue their music dreams.
A portion of the proceeds from the concert will benefit the Pisti Foundation’s efforts to combat food insecurity. Burton auto dealership, Preston Superstore partnered with Schoolyard Studio to offer a songwriting and music industry workshop with Hein and Griffin Friday, April 11 to students attending Cardinal and Berkshire High Schools and the Hershey Montessori-Huntsburg Campus.
