Man charged with attempted murder after stabbing ex-girlfriend inside Brunswick Dollar General

BRUNSWICK, Ohio (WOIO) – New video from the Brunswick Police Department shows the moments after a man allegedly stabbed his ex-girlfriend while she was at work at Dollar General.

On Tuesday, Arthur Velasquez pleaded not guilty, and a judge set his bond at $5 million. The judge also ordered him not to have contact with the victim.

Brunswick Police said on Monday, Arthur Velasquez attacked the woman around 8:30 a.m. inside the store located in the 1700 block of Pearl Rd.

When officers arrived at the store, they said they were able to quickly identify Velasquez, 56, of Burton, as their suspect and broadcast a description of him and his vehicle…
