Truck hits toll booth on Ohio Turnpike in Trumbull County

NEWTON FALLS, Ohio (WKBN) – A commercial vehicle hit a toll booth on the Ohio Turnpike Thursday morning, according to the Ohio Turnpike Commission.

It happened at milepost 211 of the Ohio Turnpike in Newton Falls around 9:20 a.m.

The Turnpike Commission said that the commercial vehicle hit a vehicle ahead of it, causing the toll booth to be hit. The Turnpike Commission said that the driver of the commercial vehicle was charged with not stopping at an assured clear distance.
