Akron Firefighters Rally Support for Uniontown Police Lt. Nathan Weidman’s Recovery Fund

In a heartfelt expression of solidarity, the Akron Fire Fighters Association Local 330 recently took to social media to rally support for one of their own, this time issuing a call to arms for a “brother in blue.” The Uniontown Police Department’s Lt. Nathan Weidman is facing a significant health challenge after suffering a stroke caused by a blood clot in his brain. This event has stirred the local community into action.

The Association’s post on Facebook calls for donations to a GoFundMe initiative set up by Lt. Weidman’s family and friends, acknowledging the impending wave of medical bills and the financial strain it could bring “Family and friends have set up a GoFundMe so people are able to help in a monetary way which we know, as the medical bills come in, will be so helpful,” the post reads, revealing the community’s collective desire to ease the burden on their comrade during his recovery.
