AKRON — The City of Akron and Akron Bicentennial Committee have announced the next steps in a process to create a new City of Akron logo. The process will be guided by a subcommittee under the Akron Bicentennial Commission and will last throughout the year with a goal of unveiling the next city logo at the Bicentennial’s closing ceremony Dec. 6.
The committee has issued a request for proposals to seek an individual or firm who will be responsible for the creation of the next logo, which can be found at tinyurl.com/2p33yx2h. Proposals are due May 19 at 5 p.m. and can be submitted via email to Director of Communications and committee member Stephanie Marsh at [email protected].
Additionally, the city has also launched a survey to gather input from residents on what they would like to see incorporated in the new city logo. The survey will be open through Sept. 30 and can be found at akron-oh.civilspace.io/en/projects/city-of-akron-logo…
