The destruction of a downtown Canton apartment building by fire on April 27 upended the lives of the people who already were struggling to keep up.
Fortunately, there were no casualties among the tenants or the firefighters. However, one person was seriously injured after jumping from a third-floor window, and several others had to be treated for smoke inhalation.
Most of the survivors are in need of a new place to live. Some lost belongings that can never be replaced like family photos and irreplaceable mementos upon which no dollar amount can be placed…
