Life in prison for Summit County man who stole victim’s motorcycle after killing him with shotgun

SUMMIT COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) – Summit County prosecutors said Monday the man convicted in a 2021 murder in Coventry Township will spend the rest of his life in prison.

Prosecutors say Jeffery Peasley fired off a shotgun at Robert Zornes, Jr. inside a friend’s home in October 2021, killing him.

Peasley and Zornes were involved in an argument, and Peasley shot and killed Zornes while he was trying to leave, according to prosecutors.
