A Westlake man faced a Cuyahoga County courtroom today following his recent indictment on several serious charges, including attempted murder, in connection with the strangulation of a woman who was found lying in a street last month.
22-year-old Jahard Colon appeared in Common Pleas Court and entered a plea of not guilty to charges that included one count of attempted murder, one count of felonious assault, two counts of strangulation, and one count of domestic violence, as WKYC reports. The arraignment stems from an April 23 incident where Westlake police were dispatched around 2:30 a.m. to Canterbury Road near Center Ridge Road after receiving multiple 911 calls about a distressed woman.
