Gas prices increase in Northeast Ohio: Up 10 cents in Akron, nearly 9 cents in Cleveland

AKRON, Ohio — The average price for a gallon of gas has jumped higher than $3 per gallon in both Akron and Cleveland within the last week.

In new data released early Monday, GasBuddy reports that gas prices in Akron have gone up 10.2 cents. This brings the city’s average to $3.01 per gallon.

Drivers in Cleveland are now paying an average of $3.03 after GasBuddy reports prices rose 8.9 cents. Despite the increase, GasBuddy says prices in Cleveland are 0.7 cents cheaper than a month ago and 24.4 cents lower than a year ago…
