Bond set for suspect accused of killing young mother at Mill Creek Falls

CLEVELAND (WJW) — The woman accused of shooting and killing a young mother at Mill Creek Falls was arraigned Monday morning in a Cuyahoga County courtroom.

Lavia Paul, 23, of Cleveland, is charged with murder in the shooting death of Kiara Jackson.

The 25-year-old mother was shot in the head and killed at the park just after 3:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 11.

Paul turned herself in to police that evening.

In court Monday morning, she pleaded not guilty and was given a $500,000 bond. She will have a pretrial hearing on July 1 at 9 a.m…
