SHAKER HEIGHTS, Ohio (WJW) – A teen accused of killing an 18-year-old at the Shaker Heights library is claiming he fired a gun in self defense.
The attorneys for the teen, who was 15 at the time of the April 1 shooting, said he fired several shots while being assaulted.
“He was approached by the decedent who struck him in the head unexpectedly with a closed fist,” the motion filed in Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court on June 25 states.
